This year for the 4th, we took the week off and drove north in our new ride (pictured here at Gloria's house in New Hartford, NY).
Then we headed to the Monteith vacation palace in Red Mills, NY. The house is undergoing a serious re-model, as some of these pics show. So, as Matt demonstrates in this photo, there is little else to do besides enjoy an adult beverage... or 40.
The raising of the flag on the 4th includes the newest tradition - a canon explosion.
Uncle Westie even added his own canon this year. Who had more fun in this movie? You decide.
