daddy/daughter hike

teresa had a conference today, so eva and i had a big day. we went to the elementary school's carnival (where eva joined the big kids in the hokie pokie), then headed to the local hiking trails up talcott mountain to heublein tower.

it was a little more intense than i planned, so we didn't make it to the actual tower. next time...

BUT, after about 3 miles, we did find a little pond with thousands of frogs in all states of development, so eva was plenty entertained. on these videos, there was nothing wrong with the camera, there were just that many frogs. they were so loud that we had a hard time hearing each other.

in the next video, at the 3 second mark, you can hear her say 'goodness!' she was amazed, to put it lightly. the other laughing/talking is not her. there were some other kids there, too.

and of course we had to take a break for blub blubs (goldfish) and meoowk (milk).
